• Tracking the puck/pushing out (sometimes I feel he can get stuck deep in his net)

• Recovery (sometimes he can push too far or not stay square/balanced)

• *please defer to coach Tony for the more technical aspects of the position but rebound control, tracking, angles are areas to continue to develop

Coach’s Comments

Tug has been a great addition to the team. His effort and focus in practice has been consistent throughout this strange year. Tug is a bigger goalie that has shown the ability to make the big save and be a force in the net. From a non-goalie coach’s perspective, I feel the biggest areas for improvement are his skating and balance/technique. It’s been a pleasure coaching Tug and I hope he has enjoyed the year with the Sabres! Tug is a great kid and I have the utmost confidence in him when he is between the pipes.
